So I heard about this beautiufl waterfall in Azusa. So that is really close to me. Now a few years back there was a terrible forest fire that shut down a large portion of the mountains i live near. They just recently opened it back up and so i was really excited to head on up there. Now it is Mid december so its kinda chilly up there. We didnt make it to the waterfall because ut was a bit further in then we anticipated and we were unpredared. I will be back though. really soon.

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin Carving time. We had alot of fun. We may not have kids but we dont let that stop us from enjoying the holidays. We are both kids at heart. So these are the pumpkins we picked out on our trip to the pumpkin patch a few weeks ago. I am really happy that halloween falls on a Monday. Only non parents will agree with me. But seriously I am happy to pass out candy on Monday if it means i can still go out and party on Saturday haha. Last year Halloween was on a Sunday so we got dressed up and went to have a few drinks at a local bar. We had a good time even if we had to work the next day. Still i felt bad for not passing out candy but who wants to stay home to do that on a weekend night? Not this chick okay!

Mty Father in law also celebrates his birthday in October. Last night we went over to Celebrate his birthday. We had a great time and yummy homemade mexican food- Pozole.  There was a cake too that was super yummy but i keep forgetting to take pictures. Ill have to borrow some from my youngest Sister in law who took a zillion and a half pictures.

My family has soo many birthdays in October its crazy. This week we celebrate Elsa's 50th Anniversary.
Gabe and I started with the long drive out to Barstow, CA.

I actually grew up in the desert, Apple Valley is my hometown. I couldnt wait to get out of there and back to the city but now that im older i realize how nice it can be to be from a small town. Thats another blog post though.

Pumpkin Festival @ Cal Poly

So today Gabe and I went to the Pumpkin festival to pick out a couple of pumpkins. I was actually going to go by myself on Saturday but its a good thing he wanted to come along. planning fail on my part by not realizing id have to actually pick out the pumpkins and haul them back to the car. When we got there we seen people with wheel barrows, wagons and i didnt bring anything. Yikes.

So i had some reuseable shopping bags from the OC auto show in the trunk and we used those. Pumpkins are so heavy.

We kinda just rolled out of bed and hopped in the car- I hadnt planned an outfit and I even forgot my camera- All the pictures had to be taken from our cell phones.

Being there and seeing where the pumpkins are grown was soo much fun- I couldnt help but smile.

Giant Pumpkins were being sold as well. This one was huge- He has a gash in him- and he was dirty but this pumpkin was a big boy.

Drive

So This weekend was pretty laid back  we went to Tustin to Visit my Auntie and Cousins on Saturday. We had fun. On Monday I just kinda bummed it at home. Since we hadnt really gone amywhere all weekend. We decided to go to a Movie on Turesday. We seen Drive. Ryoan Gosling is so hot. It was a great movie.

Other then that Ive just been working and cleaning my house. Getting ready for this weekend. My SIL will spend the night on tomorrow and then we head to LAX in the AM on Saturday to Pick up Bunny. Hell be with us while on Liberty.

I love nail polish

I fell in love with this look today. I was at work flipping through the pages of a catalog and I came across this ad for nail polish. I seen the picture and couldnt wait to get home to attempt to recreate this look. So heres my finished look, Tomorrow is casual day at work so i can wear this. It was a really quick 5 minute thing so not perfection but something i think is really super fun.

Vanity

So i decided I wanted a vanity a few weeks ago. Because ever since i started working again I feel like Gabe and I are constantly fighting over the bathroom. He seriously takes forever to get ready.(okay so we both do! )  We moved awhile ago and although this place is bigger I miss the double sinks we had in out last bathroom. So I hung one of those cheap behind the door mirrors in the hall right outside my bathroom and was using the socket to plug in my curling iron or flat iron and doing my hair and make up that way but i was getting frustrated with that. And after several months it was becoming an issue. I had an inexpensive desk from Ikea in the garage and thought id put that in a corner in my bedroom but it didnt look right it was too wide, and I cant see very far without my glasses or contacts so i took it back out to the garage. Then i found a great DIY vanity and was inspired.

Its soo cute. So i decied id try to make this. But when i seen the actually space id have with those see through arcrylic containers I realized I have way too much makeup for this to work for me. So i decide to keep looking and at Ikea I did find a great Vanity. Now it was a bit more than i had planned to pay but it is working out really nicely for me.

Killer Elite

So last Night Gabe and I went to see Killer Elite Movie. I really wanted to see Abduction /sigh but you know men and their action movies. Next time ill pick a really girly movie and make him watch. It was actually pretty good.

Orange County Auto Show

We wnt to the Orange County Auto Show ON thursday. Free Tickets yay! It was soo much fun. I definately can not wait to buy a brand new car.
